The information below was compiled for the Rhineland Action in the summer 2019 and can

The action will take place from Wednesday the 19th to Monday the 24th 2019 in the Rhineland. Today, Sunday 16 June 2019, we will start our camp in Viersen at 2 p.m. Exact place of our protest camp will be the stadium “Am Hohen Busch” in Viersen (Josef-Kaiser-Allee 1, 41747 Viersen). The Ende Gelände action will be in the Rhineland Open Pit Mines, most likely near the Garzweiler Mine.

 

From Viersen railway station to the camp

The distance on foot is about 3 km. Alternatively, you can also take the bus (public transport map) to almost the camp. From the station take the lines 83, 84 or CE89 (direction Dülken). Get off at the stop Haus Kaiser Bad. Go to the traffic lights, then turn right and after approx. 400 metres turn right again (approx. 5 min).

The Camparea

When you arrive it is best to go to the infopoint (see map) and look there.

A collective preparation is important to us. It is best if you arrive by Thursday morning. But it will also be possible for those coming a little later to join the action.

Travel by Bus

Would you like to organize a bus to this years Ende Gelände mass action of civil inobedience? Travel by Bike

The most beautiful (and climate-neutral) journey is of course by bike. If you are not too far away from the area or if you want to go on a longer tour, have a look at this map. If you arrive in a group and you are still happy about other people, write us and we will enter your starting point and people can still join you.

Travel by Car

You can also come by car. However there might not be enough parking space near the camp and you will have longer walking distances. As soon as we have more information available we will inform you. Cars can also be used in th action for shuttles, so please consider if you car is available for this as well.

Parking is about 20 minutes walk from the camp: Ransberg Viersen. Walk to the camp as follows:
